• Fishing - The River Tyne has good fishing.

Catering

• Additional meal details - We can offer a light supper (home-made soup, sandwich with home-made bread and fruit for £5) and a packed lunch (sandwich, crisps, fruit, chocolate biscuit or muesli bar and bottle of water for £5). If possible, please book in advance. It is helpful to know in advance if you have special dietary requirements.
• Cater for vegetarians - Breakfast options always include mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns or rosti, home-made Glamorgan sausages (spring onion, parsley and cheese) and eggs.
• Serve breakfast - We offer a good hearty Aga-cooked breakfast with a choice of cooked English breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on an English muffin and eggs however you like them. Bread is home-made and there are tea and coffee, oatcakes, orange juice, cereals and fruit for you to help yourself. Home-made Swiss Bircher Muesli is a house speciality and generally available.
• Serve lunch - A packed lunch is available (see additional meal details).
