Choose from 2 cottages, the lodge sleeping 7 and the barn sleeping 2 which can be linked to accommodate 9 guests plus cots.
In the heart of Northumberland countryside and a short drive from Hadrian's Wall and the North Pennines AONB, we are close to the geographical centre of the UK, making the estate an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District, Scottish Borders and stunning North East Heritage coast. Newcastle, Durham and Carlisle are all within an hours drive.
At home enjoy walking through the unspoilt ancient woodlands, a haven for wild birds and native fauna, including roe deer and red squirrel. A short walk downhill from the lodge and barn will take you to the beautiful ever-changing riverside, a wonderful place to spread a picnic and share the tranquility with ducks, otters and heron. Here, for the sporting angler, there is a quarter mile beat on the River South Tyne which is considered to be one of the most prolific salmon rivers in England. Our Ghillie, who has House of Hardy accreditation, is available for personal fly-casting tuition. There is something for everyone within the estate. Younger children can have fun and burn off their energy in the adventure playground, equipped with a tower fort, climbing wall, enclosed circular slide and swings, all within the orchard garden. For those who would prefer to relax and chill out both cottages have Sky TV, WiFi, music systems, books, DVDs and games. The estate has electronically operated gates ensuring privacy and security.
