The elegant guests’ sitting room has high ceilings, a large fireplace, with roaring log fires in cooler weather, lots of books and big comfy leather sofas. Breakfast is served at our antique dining table in our elegant dining room with roaring log fires, or, on warm sunny mornings, in the garden with the Lanercost Priory ruins as your backdrop.
A warm welcome – Your hosts, Bob and Christina Lamb, will do their utmost to ensure that you have a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Bob and Christina are passionate about high quality, locally sourced produce. Bob, previously a sheep farmer, keeps the rare bread chickens that provide your eggs at breakfast time, grows herbs, soft fruits and vegetables for the B&B, and tends the extensive gardens that he hopes you will enjoy during your stay. Christina, a former award-winning, two-rossette chef, has designed the breakfast menu to provide the best in quality home cooking. Christina makes all the breads, jams, cakes, ice creams and suppers that we serve at Lanercost Bed & Breakfast. All foods are home grown, homemade or locally sourced. Meats, from our local butcher, are all from local farms. Quality is paramount, see a list of suppliers on our website
